RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIREMENTS

  • Good knowledge of PHP, MySQL and Git.
  • Experience with PHP Frameworks (at least one).
  • Good with OOP/SOLID/… and creating maintainable and easy to test code.

Senior backend developer

  • Develop backend services and support web development.
  • Create services that are stable, maintainable and scalable in the cloud.
  • Adding features depending on business requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Familiar with Linux and configuring services that suite your needs.
  • Good knowledge of PHP, Javascript, Node.js (socket.io), MySQL, Redis, Git.
  • Good with OOP/SOLID/… and creating maintainable and easy to test code.

NICE TO HAVE

Challengeme Esports GmbH (CME) is a newly founded venture in the rapidly going eSports space, based in Berlin, Germany. CME provides a social eSports platform, which caters to both social players as well as competitive and even pro gamers. The platform enables players to find, join and setup matches and tournaments within a couple of clicks. Games are started directly through the platform and results are also tracked and provided automatically.
Players can play for fame, glory, items & money and join the innovative competitive ranking system to become the best players in their skill group and challenge the top players across the world in their game of choice. The platform also integrates many social features, live streaming and casting of matches.

We are looking to extend our team in Berlin, Germany with a German Community Manager (m/f):

Location Berlin / Germany

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build up a strong community of both social eSports players as well as competitive and pro gamers.
  • Foster a strong direct relationship with the community to increase activity and gather community feedback.
  • Identify and liaise very closely with top players to manage their needs and turn them into brand ambassadors.
  • Help build and manage a moderation & admin team.
  • Handle any problems by the community swiftly and professionally, especially payment related.
  • Build up and manage social media presence and other communication channels.
  • Content creation for news articles, patch notes and blog posts.
  • Organise community events and tournaments.
  • Together with the Business Development & Marketing Teams build up third party partnerships for special tournaments, sponsorships, etc.
  • Liaise closely with the Technology Team to communicate player needs and fix issues.
  • Help to define further development of the platform and the overall strategic direction of the company.
  • Manage and further develop KPIs to assess the health of the community and measure the impact of different activities.
  • Create regular reports for the senior management team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responding to customer queries and requests.
  • Identifying and dealing with payment-related enquiries and fraudulent behavior.
  • Identifying and resolving problems our users face.
  • Identifying and dealing with abusive players.
  • Liaising with other internal departments, in particular development team and community management
  • Reporting to Head of Customer Support / Customer Support Team Lead.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Customer Service.
  • Experience in dealing with Fraud & Payment related support processes.
  • Ability to solve problems.
